About

Curated, shoppable kids' rooms, built from real, buyable pieces.

Hi, I'm Nigel.

I run Kids Room Inspo from Curaçao. It's a one-person operation, and that's deliberate. Every room you see here was sketched, sourced, and styled by me, not produced by a content farm or generated wholesale.

The premise is simple. Most kids-room inspiration on the internet looks great in photos but falls apart the moment you try to actually buy what's in them. The products are unavailable, sold by boutique retailers nobody's heard of, or three years out of stock. Kids Room Inspo solves that one specific problem: every product in every room is shoppable today, on a major retailer, at a price I'd actually pay myself.

How a room gets made

I start with a palette and an aesthetic, like a pastel rainbow play space, a neutral nursery, or a boho reading corner. Then I go hunting for products that fit: real Amazon best-sellers (later IKEA, Etsy, and others) at price points that don't break the bank. No room makes the cut unless every piece is in stock, well-reviewed, and affordable.

Once the products are sourced, the room itself is composed using AI image generation, with each product's actual listing imagery as reference. That's the trick that makes the whole thing feasible. I get to design dream rooms from things you can genuinely buy, without a $20K photo shoot per scene. The colours, textures, and proportions match the products, so the bean bag you order arrives looking like the bean bag you saw.

A few things I want to be upfront about

  • Affiliate intent. As Kids Room Inspo grows, I plan to earn a small commission when you buy through links here (at no extra cost to you). I'm not yet enrolled in the Amazon Associates programme. They require some baseline traffic first, so right now no commissions are being earned. When that changes, you'll see the standard disclosure on every page.
  • Prices drift. Amazon prices can move daily. The price shown here is what I saw when I built the room. Always confirm at the retailer before buying.
  • AI imagery. Yes, the hero scenes are AI-composed. The products are not. They're real listings you can buy today. The composition is honest to the products' actual appearance.
  • Multi-retailer direction. Today everything links to Amazon. As the site grows I'll add IKEA, Etsy, and other retailers with affiliate programmes. The goal is to point you to the best place to buy, not the most lucrative for me.
